Provide onsite system installation, maintenance and repair within an assigned geographical area or as required.
Manage service call scheduling, parts inventory and administrative responsibilities with minimal supervision
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for customer relationship management, written documentation of service activities, and effective interaction and communication with external personnel.
The Field Service Engineer will represent the company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with Optical instrument customers, mainly external.
Provide on-site product installation and customer training, on an as-needed basis.
Provide in-house customer training for external personell.
Must be a self-starter, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be flexible in a dynamic Team environment.
This position requires extensive travel to countries in Europe and Southwest Asia.
Have experience in the installation, configuration, testing, and upgrade of Optical unit components and data communications equipment.
Have a thorough understanding of Optical unit implementation.
Possess a working knowledge of and experience with various Optical devices from multiple manufacturers, and possess the skill and expertise necessary to implement these devices.
Written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio and PowerPoint
