This multinational giant in the tech industry are now looking for an Ops engineer with placement in their Lund/Sweden office that can help them, and other Europe sites achieve the mission by maintaining and improving their Continuous Integration systems and tools. That includes, but is not limited to, official builds, pull request builds, and test passes. The essence of this role is to make the photos engineers happier and more productive by improving their systems and tools. By doing this, not only do you have direct positive impact on the people that you would work with every day, but also on the lives of millions of photos users who will get higher quality features faster.

A typical day in this role will consist of:

• Improve the speed and reliability of the build process by writing scripts, tuning the build workflow, moving assets into NuGets, etc.

• Work with partner teams on improving build and test reliability.

• Monitor official builds and drive issues to resolution.

• Maintain and monitor build and test infrastructure.

• Manage VSO settings and team membership.ay in the Role

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Basic coding skills and understanding of object-oriented languages

• Proficiency in Powershell and Batch scripts.

• Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Visual Studio Team Services or Jenkins.

• Good written communication skills, e.g. communicating with teams overseas

• Knowledge of Git

• Bonus: Knowledge on build and release features of Visual Studio Online.

• Great communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

• 2 years + experience of mentioned tasks above

Personal characteristics

You have high social skills and a positive attitude. Moreover, you are service-oriented, flexible and competent. You are also ambitious and interested in developing and learning new things and have an eye for detail but are also able to understand the overall flows and processes.

As a person, you have high integrity and credibility - and work for high ethical business principles and values. You are well structured, analytical and always strive to achieve great results. You are furthermore a team player who likes to work in close collocation with your colleges.
