hela Sverige For more than five years Axis Operations has run an annual trainee program for recently graduated students and now we are looking for the two new trainees to start after the summer 2020.

WHAT IS OPERATIONS?
Operations is the part of Axis' organization that is responsible for the supply and distribution of our products. This includes e.g. Purchasing, Order Handling, Production, Sourcing, Production Preparation, Sales & Operations Planning, Quality & Environment, and Logistics. Today we are more than 300 persons within Operations. Based in Lund, we interact with other Axis departments and a worldwide network of customers, distributors, suppliers, manufacturing partners, and our configuration and logistics centers. Apart from delivering what is needed to today's market, we are currently working hard to prepare for the significant growth projected in the coming years. We are on a journey into an even more digitized world, and this does not only include harnessing digitalization, but also fine-tuning our global footprint and supplier relations as well as improving and developing our processes.
Axis is currently in a phase of rapid change and transition: in the coming years an abundance of interesting challenges and opportunities await Axis in general and Operations in particular. We are always looking for new talents that can participate in, shape and lead this journey.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The trainee position is tailor made to fit both Axis needs and your desires. The trainee program runs for 18 months and has three distinct phases, app. 6 months each. Each phase will give you new challenges and new opportunities to learn and develop. Previous trainees have been working within areas such as purchasing, sales & operations planning, sourcing, business intelligence, quality, or environment. Please indicate if you have any particular favorite areas in your application. The program will give you a thorough introduction to Axis, to Operations, and to our global supply chain. You will learn about the challenges and opportunities we have to master if we want to continue our strong growth. We are looking for persons that will deliver high quality output from day one.
Apart from your functional managers that assist in your daily business, you will be assigned a mentor that will support and guide you throughout the entire program. You will also get support from the trainee team, both current and previous trainees. You will be given a personal area of responsibility - you need to take ownership and deliver strong results. An international project is a part of the later stages of the trainee program, so please expect some international travelling and most likely a couple of months abroad. Previous trainees have spent time in e.g. the USA, Mexico, Japan, Singapore and Australia.
AFTER THE TRAINEE PROGRAM
After the trainee program you will join our Operations Development team, where we initiate, facilitate and drive strategic projects to improve our business, both internally and in our global supply chain. You will be fully responsible for driving your own projects. In this future role, you will work closely with a number of stakeholders to fully understand their issues, create and implement strategies for change, and turn potential into performance. Your trainee period will give you a thorough training; you will be well prepared for this work.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are primarily looking for a fresh or recent graduate from Industrial Engineering & Management or Mechanical Engineering. Your studies have been focused on Supply Chain Management and/or Business & Innovation, with strong academic results. But you have also done other things during your years of study. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and social: teamwork and collaboration are essential to your success at Axis. In addition, you are structured and analytical. You can work independently but at the same time you successfully collaborate across organizational and cultural borders.
You need strong communication skills: full professional proficiency in both Swedish and English are absolute requirements, additional languages a benefit. You enjoy and excel at developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, colleagues and other stakeholders. You understand the big picture and how to translate it into daily work, i.e. you thrive in an environment where you plan your own activities, drive initiatives and takes responsibility for the result.
