What you'll do?
As the Operation Quality Manager, you'll have a vital role at our manufacturing plant, were you'll be responsible for the manufacturing quality. We are a high-volume, high-tech production plant and your main mission will be to lead and develop our production organization abilities to secure future and present quality requirements, supporting production capability according to financial frames. To your aid you'll have Production Quality Group managers and engineers reporting to you. Together you will secure the high quality level required in our business.
Safety and quality are two of Veoneer's key essences, both when it comes to our customers and our employees. As Operations Quality Manager you will set strategic goals to improve the quality and safety according to customers and Veoneer's policies, standards and requirements. You are responsible to set way forward regarding ways of working, competencies and tools to secure that safety and quality risks are minimized and failure rates in our production are competitive.
In addition, you'll work closely with the Production, and Product Maintenance functions both from an operational and strategic perspective, defining & follow up financial, human resource & performance targets. You'll be a member of both the Quality and Operations Management teams and report directly to the Plant Quality Manager
What you'll bring
You are a person who is known to instill trust and encourage curiosity within your team knowing it can lead to more innovative improvements and solutions. You understand the different functions within the organization, their core processes and how they're all linked together, see the full picture. With your and the teams competence and knowledge you're able to make fast and clear decisions. This means that you have previous experience in Quality, Production, Process and Change Management, preferably within Automotive. You are known to monitor results (both quality and productivity levels) based on deadline, budget and goals.
You've got documented and strong management skills. You're able to identify strategic challenges, find ways forward to overcome them and define clear goals, expectations and actions. You've got experience not only in coaching and inspiring individuals and teams, but also in communicating and negotiating with customers and management groups. This also means that you're able to handle a conflict should it arise.
When you are confronted with an issue, you are known to ask "why" as a way to find the root cause and are used to different analytic methods in problem-solving. You make rational decisions that are based on facts and the task at hand.
Level (diploma) required:
• Engineering degree in Mechanical/Automation/Electronic
• Post-secondary education in Quality or Engineering is highly merited
Other required skills:
• Documented manager skills with several years of experience.
• Documented skills and experience in Quality methods and tools.
• Swedish and English, written and verbal
• Customer and/or Quality systems experience
