We need a hero - a sort of Han Solo on wheels. A traveller. An adventurer. Bold and brave. Someone who loves cycles. Someone who is passionate about environmental issues. Someone who doesn't mind getting their jeans dirty, who loves being outdoors but with a iPad tucked into their backpack. Someone who gets things done. Someone who likes working in an international setting managing and helping young, enthusiastic,cycle-taxi riders and who doesn't mind cycling around the city at 3am on a Saturday morning! Professional and driven. And who will have a major say in the running of an ethical company with the opportunity to share in honest profits.
The role will mean responsibility for operations. Our cycles are hired out and therefore there must be a clear and efficient booking system created, cycles must be well-maintained, riders will be fully trained, cycle routes and a calendar of events planned, the livery process, making sure adverts are placed on the cycle cabs ? organised. All must run as smoothly as a professional operation should.
This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to influence a huge change in Stockholm's transport options. Responsibilities will include ,
Designing an efficient, operational system that includes a booking system
Recruiting and training riders
Planning routes and updating daily event calendars
Developing tour routes and new opportunities
Maintaining cycles
Riding the cycle when required
Supporting the Director in key strategy in all areas of the business
Must be:
Problem solving with a positive, solution-oriented mindset
Honest and committed
Stress-tolerant and able to work occasional unsociable hours
Independent and self-motivated
Eye for detail
Must have:
Project management
Problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset
Knowledge of cycle mechanics
Budget management
People management
Excellent English language skills
IT / Excel competence
Also useful:
Swedish language
Sense of humour
