Our client is one of the largest companies within freight management. They manage and deliver goods from door to door by sea and air worldwide, as both single local consignments or large complex flows.
The position
As Operations Manager Ocean you will have commercial and operational responsibility to manage the business and ensure the highest customer satisfaction in line with company principles.
Your key responsibilities include:
• Lead and coach a large organization.
• Implement and communicate office policy and core values.
• Manage function meeting structure.
• Manage staffing and local organization.
• Implement and streamline aligned company processes and routines.
• Manage employee development and Performance Management.
• Manage salary setting according to Salary policy.
• Overall operational and commercial responsibility.
• Ensure an effcient production environment.
• Manage and establish good customer relations.
• Manage financial business result and turnover.
The candidate
The person applying for this job must have previous experience in ocean freight forwarding from a similar large and strategic organization. Further qualifications can be summarized as :
• Demonstrated management skills.
• Confident in making decisions and possess the ability to delegate properly.
• Have the ability to see "the big picture" and to detect and implement improvements in processes.
• Customer focus with emphasis on service, not sales.
• Good understanding of managing financial business result and turnover
• You should be a "rising star". Your ambition should be to move forward within the company within a reasonable timeframe.
• University degree or equivalent in relevant fields.
• Good knowledge, both written and spoken in Swedish and English
• Previous experience of working with Axfreight and NextGen ERP systems.
• High proficiency in MS Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
