Memoto is a rapid growth company located in Linkoping that develops a combination of both hardware and software for consumer service on the global market. The team consists of experienced entrepreneurs and highly competent developers.
The Position:
Memoto is offering you a central role and an exciting life journey in this endeavor.
The company has initiated the process of building a production chain in Asia and is now looking for an Operations Manager to handle international production and logistics. This role includes the acquisition of component and system suppliers and the planning and creation of a production chain from the ground up. An important component of this task involves the establishing and handling of a network of suppliers for logistics and international transports for production and delivery.
The Operations Manager is responsible for estimating both sale and production and should be able to predict future maintenance aspects as well. Furthermore, this person should have some experience and know-how of tool construction, since Memoto works with products of unique design. The position includes the responsibility to ensure that the deliveries are of highest quality and that the company is able to release and distribute a product of highest quality on the market.
The position is based in Linkoping, but you will also spend some time at our office in Malmo.
You:
For you to be a good fit for the position, you should have previous experience with production, feed logistics, and the process of establishing a network of suppliers. Your academic background should be a Master of Science with a major in Civil Engineering, or a Master of Business Logistic Engineering, or other comparable degree. Experience of cooperating with countries in Asia, mainly China and Taiwan, adds significant merit. Past experience from smaller rapid growth companies would also be beneficial.
To succeed in the role of Operations Manager, we envision a person who is calm and collected under stress while at the same time highly motivated and determined. We are looking for someone with great organizational skills that possess the energy to persist in the task. As a person, you are determined with solid negotiating skills and toughness, should the going get tough. We also believe that you have general technical interests since the role includes the purchasing of circuit boards, mechanics, and electronic components.
A big part of your work duties is handled over the phone and via video-conference, but the initial work includes trips to Europe as well as to Asia. Great proficiency of English is a requirement.
