Want to drive digital change in automotive?

At Volvo Cars, we are making bold digital visions come true. We aim to lead in the automotive world by creating a digital ecosystem built around making our customers' lives less complicated. Now we are looking for curious, creative people who want to change the world through innovative thinking.

Background: Volvo Leads the Way

The automotive industry is in the midst of a technological revolution and Volvo is at the forefront of that movement. Whether it's mobility, connected cars, or digitally-enabled services, we believe the car is the next great technology platform that will alter the trajectory of humankind for generations to come. Join our world-class team as we build the technology and products that will enable the car of the future!

Luxe: Best of Both Worlds

Luxe was founded in San Francisco in 2014 to tackle the problem of parking by providing an on-demand valet through a mobile app. After raising capital from some of the most prestigious VC firms in Silicon Valley, we were eventually acquired by Volvo to spearhead several key global initiatives around vehicle logistics. Even though we're now part of a large organization, we've gone out of our way to maintain our quick and nimble startup culture. By leveraging both our agile startup DNA and the global resources and scale of Volvo, we are poised to build and launch products that will improve the lives of millions of Volvo owners worldwide.

Operations are at the core of all the products that the Luxe team builds. Without an elite and peerless Operations team, our products simply would not work. As a Luxe Operations Manager, you're responsible for building and developing each market's operations and logistics chain from the ground up. Whether it's collaborating with third party labor providers, creating training materials and processes, or launching live operations, you own the market until it is running like a well-oiled machine. Once the market matures, you'll handoff to a support team as you move onto the next market. Quick thinking, excellent communication, and team coordination are among the most paramount skills required for this role.

What You'll Do
* Hustle, Execute, Problem-Solve & Lead: You'll have your fingerprints all over the operations for our new markets and will be directly responsible for launch success of markets in the EMEA region.
* Prioritize & Project Manage: You will need to multitask, prioritize, and stay on top of multiple projects and launches in coordination with sister brands and local partners.
* Create & Optimize Process: We are launching a new product in new environments - that means you need to create and constantly optimize operational processes for launch as well as for sustained market success in the future.
* Build & Lead A Team: You will be defining hiring needs and leading the hiring process for new operations members.
* Manage D2D Logistics: Manage scheduling, attendance, and general administration of labor, loaner vehicles, dealers and more to ensure a seamless operation.
* Solve Problems: This is a 24/7/365 mentality. We operate a technology platform and manage a complex logistics chain. All kinds of obstacles, barriers, and problems happen on a daily basis and you must be ready to solve them as fast as they happen.

What You'll Need
* Operations Experience: 4+ years of operations and project management, preferably at a logistics-based company like Uber or Amazon.
* Self-Motivated: There is no one looking over your shoulder--you need to be a true self-started and eager to take ownership of tasks to ensure problems get solved.
* Strong Decision-Making Skills: Focus on data-based decision-making, exercising good judgement in ambiguous circumstances, and effectively communicating those decisions across a diverse team.
* Empathy: Have your finger on the pulse of customers in your market so that you always examine problems from customer's perspective.
* Flexibility: Being an Operations Manager means you will spend a lot of time on the road, traveling to wherever business needs you on short notice. Having a flexible schedule is key to success in this role.
* Strong Interpersonal Skills: It's crucial for you to build relationships across all different parts of the logistics chain from drivers to dealers and everything in between. You will also lead a team, manage team members, and create a hard-working but fun culture.
* Clear Communicator: You need to be a clear and concise communicator with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly and highlight the key insights.
