During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, the manufacturing operation and our remanufacturing operations. You will get to know our different brands and their dealer structures, plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as supply chains, manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements.

In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several "on-the-job" rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Position - Trainee Order & Distribution, Operations Excellence

Our organization:
Service Market Logistics (SML) is part of Group Trucks Operations. Every day, we are delivering world class operational excellence for our customers, based on smart logistics solutions. Our job is to develop, manage and optimize the Service Market supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and Joint Ventures.
Operations Excellence (OE) is a function within SML is responsible to lead the strategic work, innovation and change agenda. We develop todays and future way of working and secure Value Chain excellence through global principles, standards and best practices across the different regions in the SML organization.

This is us, your new team:
The Order & Distribution department is one part of Operations Excellence and we set the direction and lead SML into the future capturing performance trends, industry benchmarks and new innovations. We drive development of global processes and principles focusing Order to Delivery, Returns including the Transport area and Dealer Support. We are a dedicated and curious team with a holistic view, extensive Supply Chain experience that takes pride in identifying opportunities for improvements, driving change and simplifying for our Customers and Dealers.

Main activities and responsibilities:
As a Trainee Order & Distribution, Operations Excellence you will support the Director Order & Distribution and Excellence Leaders with process development work. You will lead smaller or take part of bigger E2E with problem solving activities focusing on Order to Delivery, Returns and Dealer Support with the objective to improve these Value Chains with emphasis on Customers and Dealers. In this role you collaborate cross functionally within SML both with global functions and regional operations as well as Business areas and Dealers. In your improvement work you will use the Volvo Production System that is our Lean framework in the Volvo Group. We always strive for developing best in class processes and to build knowledge about industry standards and benchmark, for this reason in this role you will capture external insight and perform benchmarks activities. Supply Chain Visibility and Process Automation are high on our agenda and therefore identifying and exploring various technologies and digitalization opportunities is also part of your tasks.

Overall requirements for the role:
M.Sc. within Supply chain/Operational/ Industrial/ Quality management
Valid work-permit for applied country if not citizen
Solid English and Swedish skills. Additional languages are given merit
Maximum of two years previous work-experience prior to or after graduation
Experience from service market or other supply chain areas
Experience form service innovation is a merit
Skills in analytics and process automation is a merit
Understanding of Process Management and Lean principles
