Volvo Group Operations Graduate Program
If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group's global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several "on-the-job" rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Our organization:
Powertrain Production (PTP) is one of the world's largest manufacturers of heavy-duty diesel engines for commercial vehicles. Powertrain production provides diesel engines and transmission systems to the Volvo Group and also remanufactures a range of products. Powertrain Production has facilities in Charlotte, Hagerstown and Middletown in US, Curitiba in Brazil, Flen, Köping and Skövde in Sweden, and Vénissieux and Limoges in France.

This is us, your new team:
PTP Quality is the central function that manages, support and drives all common quality and environmental activities for the PTP plants. We are a small team that works in a network structure with our colleagues in the plants and other central functions like Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality etc. Our mission is to achieve customer satisfaction, environmental excellence and develop a culture of zero defects.

Main activities and responsibilities:
Your main task will be to identify and analyze current ways of working in Powertrain plants, for example:

• To capture quality events in the lines (starting with assembly, extension to machining)
• Describe how the different IT tools are connected today and how we can benefit to reduce the time spent to fill information into the system
• Propose an optimized process and the IT tool able to take in consideration all ways of working
• Develop the add-on interface for exploiting the data to support the VPS (Volvo Production System) methods and tools

Who are you?
To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A BSc or MSc in engineering science, specialization within in Production with focus on Quality
• Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation.
• Solid English skills (some graduate positions will also acquire local language skills).
• Process oriented with a strong interest in IT solutions.
• You also need to have analytical and logical skill.
• To be a communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the business that you are working in.
• A valid work permit

Volvo Group Trucks Operations encompasses all production of the Group's engines and transmissions, as well as all production of Volvo, Renault and Mack trucks. The organization is responsible for spare parts supplies to the Group 's customers as well as for designing, operating and optimizing logistics and supply chain for all brands, production facilities and distribution centers where the Volvo Group operates.
