If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group's global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several "on-the-job" rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.

Position - Production planner

Our organization:
Volvo Group Trucks Operations Europe and Brazil Manufacturing in Tuve, manufactures trucks and cabs for the global market. Our most important mission is to deliver trucks of high quality delivered on time to our customers. Our great employees contribute daily to our customers' success. The truck plant in Tuve has a capacity of approx. 20,000 trucks per year and is the headquarter plant of the Volvo Group with approximately 2,000 employees. We also produce frames not only for ourselves but to Gent, Kaluga and our KD-plants (assembly plants) throughout the globe. We have a CKD organization (CKD=completely knocked down), that pack trucks in pieces which then are sent to our KD-plants in mainly in Asia. The production facility is specialized for complex trucks with high degree of customer adaptations. We also act a as the Volvo Group introduction plant for all new exciting products and host the Group 's Pilot plant. New technology serves great opportunities to excel in performance and demand a high level of new introductions, both product- and process wise.

This is us, your new team:
You will join a professional team that represents one of our most important functions in the plant. The Program and production planning department is the key function that oversees the planning of our operational processes of cab trim, final assembly and CKD packing.

We are responsible to secure that we plan the production so we can keep our promise to deliver trucks with high quality on time to our customers. We work together with Production, CKD, Engineering and Sales and other functions in the plant to continuously improve and optimize our planning and production processes. We have the responsibility to balance the different needs and expectations within the plant to ensure the tradeoffs within our part of the value chain to deliver according to customer needs.

Main activities and responsibilities:
We are looking for a committed future production planner to help Tuve deliver our promise to our customers. The purpose of the position is in parallel to operational capacity planning and order handling support to have someone in our team able to cooperatively unleash the value of the data we collect! Our production planner will analyze investigate and make recommendations to improve our delivery performance as well as evaluate how the market behavior impacts our ability to plan for success.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A BSc or MSc in engineering science, computer science, business administration, Industrial engineering, production management or supply chain
Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation.
Excellent spoken and written English
Fluent in Swedish or willing and able to learn rapidly
Process oriented and analytical with a hands-on mentality
Holistic view and good lean knowledge
Strong communication skills
Good at problem solving
Valid work permit for Sweden is required.
