If you are up for the challenge of developing the next generation of production plants and want to be a part of the innovative world of Volvo Group, this is the graduate program for you!
During 15 intense and exciting months, the program will give you a holistic view of the Volvo Group's global truck manufacturing organization. You will get to know our different brands and their plants and learn about our logistics organizations and activities. You will take a deep dive into some specific areas of our business such as manufacturing, health and safety, quality, and continuous improvements, while also learning about the end to end supply chain, aftermarket parts, and our remanufacturing operations.
In parallel, you will grow as a person, through individual and team development sessions. You will have a permanent position from day one, with a manager and mentor to support you. You will experience several "on-the-job" rotations and have the opportunity to work on real project assignments. In addition, you will join a number of learning modules where you get together with other program participants to take part in trainings and events designed to help you grow into your future career at the Volvo Group.
Our organization:
Volvo Powertrain in Köping manufactures and assembles gearboxes for trucks and heavy vehicles and marine stern drives for Volvo Penta. Our ambition is to continuously improve our methods and processes and you will as a production engineer have an important role in this work. The 1550 employees at the site work in an industrial world class environment. The operations at the plant include machining and heat treatment of components as well as assembly of complete gearboxes. The plant is "Centre of Excellence" regarding Heavy Duty Transmissions. The responsibility is to develop and verify process concepts and solutions for global needs as well as concentrate and develop critical competences within the technology area.
This is us, your new team:
The area Production Engineering Machining consists of around 30 production engineers with major engagement and responsibility to prepare and industrialize new components and processes, refine existing components, maintain and increase the capacity when required. The area is also responsible for the technical support and the continuous improvement efforts which can be divided into reactive problem solving and proactive focused improvements of methods and processes. A lot of the work is organized in projects and we can have different roles in different projects such as experts, project managers or work package leaders.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and skills:
MSc in Engineering
Maximum two years of previous working experience, prior to or after graduation
Solid English and Swedish skills
Communicative team player with the ambition to develop both yourself and the business that you are working in
Good analytical and problem solving skills as well as a strong technical interest
Volvo Group Trucks Operations encompasses all production of the Group's engines and transmissions, as well as all production of Volvo, Renault and Mack trucks.
