We are looking for an experienced Operations Director to lead business processes across Biometrics and Information Sciences (B&I) departments.

This role is within the Alliance and Operations team in B&I, which coordinates and drives improvements to key business processes such as recruitment, strategy deployment, training and quality. The function provides critical support to enable B&I to function effectively and efficiently and contributes to their overall goals of:

• delivering value to the pipeline by excellence in delivery
• improving decision-making
• engaging and shaping the external environment
• accessing and implementing innovative solutions

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Lead your main focus will be to set and drive the quality strategy and framework for B&I, as the B&I Quality Lead. This includes but is not limited to:

• Ensuring that the Quality Management Framework within B&I is aligned to regulatory requirements
• Management of procedural documents, including oversight of process owner and subject matter experts input and activities
• Oversee the risk and issue management process within B&I (including corrective/preventative action tracking)
• Monitor training compliance, holding managers accountable to ensure non-compliance is addressed
• Provide audit support to teams, including ensuring B& are inspection ready at all times
• Management of the quality dashboard, including identifying improvement/enhancements to quality metrics
You will drive improvements across B&I for assigned areas of process accountability and may also lead complex strategic initiatives for B&I including planning and implementation with little/no direction. This may involve groups in AZ outside of B&I but also external vendors, academics or consortia.

Essential Requirements
To succeed in this role you will be an excellent communicator who enjoys the challenge of strategically leading on projects which involve many decision makers. You'll have strong influencing skills, and enjoy solving problems. In addition you will have:

• Significant experience from within the pharmaceutical/medical/healthcare industry
• Recognised expertise in Quality Management
• University degree (or equivalent)
• Project leadership skills/project management experience
• Extensive networking skills, ability to interact widely and effectively both within the company (on both an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary basis) and externally
• Proven ability to work independently, and remotely, with key customers and stakeholders and with little direction
• Demonstrated experience working with multiple customers and on multiple projects at a time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong strategic influencer who enjoys building positive relationships.
