Axis is a fast-growing IT company, with a global supply chain consisting of suppliers and customers in all major regions of the world. The supply chain is a key enabler of Axis growth, and as we grow it is vital for us to develop our supply chain to support our growth ambitions and opportunities. We are now looking for an Operations Development Manager, who will be responsible for driving the development of our supply chain.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Operations Development Manager at Axis you will work very closely with a number of functions within Operations as well as other departments at Axis in identifying, initiating and driving development and improvements in our supply chain. Examples of key focus areas are new supply chain solutions, new ways of collaborating with our suppliers and customers, projects aimed at increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain and specific supply chain solutions in emerging markets to increase our competitiveness in these markets.
You role will also include initiating and guiding of Thesis Projects in the supply chain management area. Further, you will participate in company-wide development projects involving the supply chain.
Since this is a new position at Axis, you have the opportunity of influencing the boundaries of the position. You will also have extensive opportunities to influence which supply chain development projects that get executed. You will be reporting to the Vice President of Operations.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you are a person with a strong personal drive who easily co-operates across organizational borders. Your analytical ability is sharp and you pay good attention to detail. You are always open and willing to learn.
We believe you have:
• A Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or a MBA degree.
• At least 5 years’ experience from several supply chain disciplines in an international environment.
• Several years’ experience from working with Asian suppliers.
• The ability and experience to drive and lead highly international supply chain projects with a minimum of supervision.
• At least 5 years ERP system experience.
Furthermore you are fluent in both English and Swedish. Travelling is part of the job and thus required, we estimate
45-60 days/year.
THE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
Operations is Axis supply chain organization. We work closely with the Research & Development department in industrializing new products to high volume and specified quality, and then run everything from demand planning, through purchasing, customer order management, production and logistics including shipments to our distributors.
Operations also has some key supporting functions like Quality, Production Preparation and Facilities.
Once our customers know what they want to buy, Operations make sure they get it. In this we work closely with Sales.
