What we offer
We are now looking for an operational risk manager within Volvo Car Insurance AB. The operational risk manager shall have great knowledge and understanding of risk management and loss prevention activities.
Volvo Cars is considered to be on a very high level in risk management and loss prevention, and this role is key in maintaining that high level also through the ongoing electric transformation and the numerous large projects and new manufacturing plants the company faces in the coming years.
What you'll do
As the Operational Risk Manager in Volvo Cars, you are the owner of the internal standards covering fire protection design, business interruption and loss prevention in general in the company. In addition to updating and communicating those standards, one of your key responsibilities is to drive the loss prevention strategies, motivate where and why large investments in loss prevention is necessary and in general support all factories and facilities on how to meet those standards in a pragmatic and efficient way.
Below are some specific tasks related to the role as Operational Risk Manager is listed:
• Global contact for insurance brokers and insurance companies regarding Risk Management

• Attendance at loss prevention (insurance) surveys in all factories in Asia, Europe and US

• Review underwriting reports, recommendation reports and corrective actions to assure uniform and cost-effective solutions

• Follow up progress of Volvo Cars Risk Grading tools, exemption procedures and impairment requests

• Develop, update, and communicate Volvo Cars directives and standards within Fire Protection Engineering and loss prevention
• Coordinate global loss prevention work in line with internal standards and procedures
• Ensure loss prevention aspects in large construction projects
• Provide training and information about fire safety/risks and appropriate counteractions
• Perform risk analysis, follow up on learnings and support implementation of improvements e.g. based on new research, internal or external incidents, etc
• Develop and maintain Business continuity plans for operational sites within Volvo Cars
• Serve as a subject matter expert in risk management, Fire protection design, Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity Management, and mitigation planning

Qualifications
• University degree in Fire Protection Engineering or similar education
• 5 year's relevant experience
• Interested in industrial risk management and loss prevention
• Fluent in spoken and written English
