The independent Risk Control department's primary purpose is to protect Klarna's financial performance and reputation, by ensuring and enabling a sound risk management culture. This is done both by supporting business units in risk management and by independent monitoring and reporting. Several processes related to risk control and risk management are currently being implemented at Klarna and the department is being staffed to cope with the ambition of having efficient and Klarna specific, best practice processes in place. As part of our continuous progress we are now looking for a new employee to complement and develop our driven team in Stockholm within the area of operational risk control.

In this role you will play a key role in building up the Independent Risk Control function at Klarna, focusing on operational risk. You will:

• drive projects to implement and develop operational risk management processes.
• be responsible for operational risk control and support for specific business areas, including facilitating risk assessments, reviewing and testing internal controls, analyzing incidents, supporting business continuity planning, etc.
• perform independent risk reporting to management and monitor operational risk limits
• participate in the development of capital calculations for operational risk
• carry out ad hoc activities related to operational risk management and control coming from board and management.

You will have the opportunity to develop within the area of operational risk management, take lead on project's related to operational risk and build up a large network with people from all parts of Klarna as well as externally. The right person can in this position influence how people deal with operational risks all over Klarna.

You are a high performer and a skilled communicator who enjoys being a part of a fast-paced organization where change is the only constant. You have professional experience from operational risk management - knowledge of ICAAP and capital models for operational risk is an advantage. We expect you to have an academic degree and be fluent in English.
