Short-Term Financial Planning, a subunit to Operational Finance Control, is responsible for financial planning and analysis for the current and next year. At Operational Finance Control you will be a key contributor to the creation of the next generation Finance community - One Finance. You will develop and implement smart and nimble finance processes, create intuitive reports and analysis to support the business in the best way. This will be done in close cooperation with Business Control in the functions as well as the Group Finance functions. Through networking and benchmarking you will be part of taking the Finance organization into a modern organization, ready to meet the challenges ahead of us. The position is highly visible and frequently meets with senior management.
Main tasks
Continuously monitor and report the company's financial state to the Executive Management, Investor Relations, Group Treasury, Group Accounting and Group Controller.
Connect key business drivers with financial outcome and present in a simple way
Complete ad hoc presentations and investigations as requested.
Key player in developing efficient processes within Global Finance Operations
Support Volvo Cars to meet its financial targets with proactive controlling
Qualifications
Good analytical skills and ability to take own initiatives and develop the role. Quickly learn to identify trends and inconsistencies in data collected in comparison with other internal and external data.
Commitment to delivery, aligned with good prioritization skills to get all tasks completed in the time required.
Focus on high quality of work completed; forecast calculations, reporting work is highly visible, and accuracy therefore critical.
Ability to understand and communicate complex financial changes - proficient in both written and spoken English. Ability to demonstrate understanding and articulate changes and impacts on a high level, but also at the lowest level of detail.
Good computer skills, particularly HFM, Excel modeling and PowerPoint.
Preferred experience with the company's income statement and entity structure in HFM.
Likely 5-10 years of relevant experience within Volvo Cars
An interest to learn as well as to teach is very important for this position.
