Operational Buyer
At Procurement, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Ultimately, it's all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo.
Volvo Car is having a very positive momentum with several new car programs in the near future. At B&E Exterior Trim System we are now looking for a new buyer with experience from purchasing.
The Exterior Trim team purchase material to advanced projects, new projects and running production for Volvo Car Group manufacturing plants globally.
Example on products we purchase are Panoramic roof system, Mirrors, Glass and Functional Black Trims.
As Buyer you will together with the group be responsible for activities through the complete production lifecycle of concerned parts,
such as sourcing of new projects, change management and negotiation of running business. We develop a global supplier base and commodity strategies as well as maintain existing supplier relationships.

As Operational Buyer you are responsible for the daily business with our suppliers and cross functional teams such as R&D,
Supplier quality, logistics and capacity management. We expect you to be the expert of you own business areas, where you will handle capacity, design changes and lead constraint issues. You will also contribute to the yearly negotiations and setting long-term purchasing strategies.
What you'll do
You will work with Order Management, sourcing's, design changes in projects, risk management,
commercial price reductions and a lot more. Each day will bring new challenges to the table.
You have ongoing care of vendor issues and capacity management and you will be a part of a global team with weekly meetings aligning the global setup for your area.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a commercial or technical degree or equivalent and min. 2 years ' relevant experience.
You possess excellent negotiation skills and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. You are fluent in English (written and spoken) and have great MS Office skills.
You are a positive and flexible person who finds solutions moving forward, even when not all the facts are available.
You have the ability to independently drive and perform tasks in a structured way. You enjoy working in a team and contribute to the positive development in it.
