What we offer
We are looking for a temporary (approx.1,5 year) Operational Buyer within Connectivity. Connectivity is one of the big focus areas for future vehicles. We act in a world where constant connectivity is becoming a need for the customer and constant function growth is expect to meet and exceed our customer expectations. We are offering a great opportunity to develop your skills in an area that is subject for continuous change while adapting to new technology. Aside from various stakeholders within Volvo Car Group. You will work closely with major well-known suppliers, within the tech industry.
This is a unique opportunity for the right person to develop their skills and gain a broad professional network.
Your key tasks
Your responsibility is to work, develop and deploy plans within Connectivity to ensure development and production launch. You will also be responsible to secure the different projects day-to-day business with task such as negotiating different agreements and contracts. Having a legal interest and knowledge is therefore a merit.
As Operational Buyer, you secure a Market Competitive offer over time for Volvo Cars and our customers. You will be responsible for running business and yearly commercial negotiations together with the Category Buyers. The Connectivity area covers software deliveries such as navigation, speech and other apps.
You and your skills
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have; commercial, law and/or technical university degree, or equivalent professional working experience with contracts and legal documents as well as experience with contract management, negotiation and coaching skills.
You have experience in project lead oriented issues, work life experience from
positions where negotiation and customer and/or supplier contact is a common task and you are proficient in English, both spoken and written.
Experience from automotive and purchasing is meritorious
