At Purchasing, you are part of a global team with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Car Group. Ultimately, it is all about cooperating with people inside and outside the company to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo.
Purchasing team Chassis is responsible for direct material to Volvo Cars Plants. We purchase material to new projects and running production for all Volvo Car Corporations manufacturing plants. Chassis purchasing team is working with some of the systems that makes a difference in a Volvo. We work within the areas body control, Brakes & Steering, Wheels & Tires, Wheel Suspension and Climate.

We strive for a positive attitude and having fun every day. We are working in the areas Brakes & Steering, Wheels & Tires, climate and Body control. The team includes both category buyers as well as operational buyers. We have a highly open and energetic work environment where we continuously strive for improvement and welcome all kind of new and creative ideas.
As Operational Buyer you are responsible for the daily business with our suppliers and cross functional teams such as R&D, Supplier quality, logistics and capacity management. Within this area you will be involved in some of the most important implementations making a Volvo even better. We expect you to be the expert of you own business areas, where you will handle capacity, design changes and lead constraint issues. You will also contribute to the yearly negotiations and setting long-term purchasing strategies.

We are constantly improving our ways of working and you will definitely be part of the team development. You'll also broaden you network of business contacts within purchasing - national as well as global! The number of product areas to work within is infinite within Volvo Cars and for the right person, your own ambition is the only limit.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a commercial or technical university degree or equivalent and min. 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably from purchase.
You have excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and find ways forward even when not all facts are available.
As a person, you are structured in the way you work, you have a positive and flexible attitude that you are happy to contribute to the team.
Of course, you are fluent in English (written and spoken) and have very good computer skills mainly in MS We see it as an extra plus if you have experience from the automotive industry or experience from R&D, logistics or Product strategy Office and especially PowerPoint.
