What we offer
Do you want to work with market leading suppliers in a complex area, with components having a big impact on the final product? Body & Stamping team is now looking for an Operational Buyer. Body & Stamping is a part of Body & Exterior purchasing with responsibility for all components related to the Body and Exterior of our products. You will be part of a dynamic team of buyers supporting each other to reach our business objectives. In this broad and interesting role, you will secure running projects and day-to-day business in truly global context.
What you'll do
As operational buyer it's your job to negotiate existing business agreements, handle claims and agreement updates to secure the annual result. You will work with capacity management and production launch ensuring the best commercial outcome. Also, you are Responsible for Quality and regress/warranty issues within your areas of expertise and act as support for the Category Buyer in the team. In order to perform you need to be close to your suppliers meaning that there will be needs for business travels
You and your skills
To be successful in this role we believe that you have a commercial and/or technical university degree and a minimum of one years' experience in a similar role. Since you will be dealing with suppliers globally, you need to be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Also you need to have a driver's license and its considered a plus if you have experience from project lead oriented issues.
Since you will be handling many issues/projects in parallel, you need to be structured with strong administrative skills. You have to be a communicative people person with the ability to build good and lasting relations and have excellent negotiation skills. Also, in a fast paced environment you have to be business and performance driven with the ability to drive and complete tasks independently. Last but not least we are looking for someone who want to make a difference and who is motivated by identifying/enabling/creating new solutions and new business opportunities
