What you'll do
As Operational Buyer within Electrical distribution systems, part of your responsibility areas is to work, develop and deploy plans within Electrical Distributions System (EDS) to secure development and production launch. You are responsible for your deliveries to the complete purchasing area around Electrical Distribution System, as well as securing the project in a day-to-day business. As Operational Buyer, you secure a Market Competitive offer over time for Volvo Cars and our customers. You will also be responsible for running business and yearly commercial negotiations together with the Commodity Buyer.
Electrical Distribution System includes the wiring harnesses and components in the wiring harness deliveries such as distribution boxes, cable channels and connectors. The tasks will be performed in cooperation with a team of colleagues from Purchasing, Development, Product Planning and Marketing. Do you fit the profile?
To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:
* Commercial and/or a technical education on a university level. If not - equivalent work life experience can do
* Experience in project lead oriented issues
* Work life experience from positions where negotiation and customer and/or supplier contact is a common task
* Experience from automotive and purchasing is meritorious, but not a must
* Experience in project lead oriented issues
* Good knowledge in English, both spoken and written
