The Power Grids division is the world's leading supplier of power and automation products, systems and service solutions for the entire value chain from power generation to the transmission and distribution of electricity. The offer spans transformers, high voltage products, systems for power transmission and solutions and automation for integration and interconnecting power grids - to enable a stronger, smarter and greener grid.
Grid & Power Quality Solution is a part of Business Line, Power Grid, Grid Integration (PGGI), whom supplies substations, systems solutions and engineered packages for transmission and distribution facilities. The customers are power companies, industry, transportation and other companies that need to be connected to power networks. The market is driven by the need to create stable power networks and by environmental reasons with the aim of increasing the use of renewable energy.
We are now looking for a Manager to lead the newly formed Operating Unit in Sweden within the PGGI Northern Europe HBL.
Your responsibilities
You will be part of forming the Operating Unit and take the lead and drive our business to the next level.
As Operating Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the tendering and project execution activities on the local market and you will be leading the team with the aim to create profitable growth.
Building a strong local management team and developing our operations with focus on quality, health and safety, continued growth and profitability, and leading the management team in our quest toward meeting targets and implementing long-term strategies.
Coaching and motivating coworkers and coordinate teamwork across the organization. You will also be part of the PGGI Northern Europe management team.
Actively leading, promoting and implementing "best in industry" health, safety, environmental and business integrity culture.
Delivering KPI targets as set by HBL, Global Product Group and BU.
Ensuring that the Operating Unit has the capacity and competencies to safely deliver the on the KPI and business targets set by the Northern Europe HBL.
Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders; serving as an escalation point for individual and systemic business or project management issues within the unit.
Owning the tendering and project execution of the portfolio allocated and performance management of the Operating Unit through project reviews with project managers to ensure contract fulfillment, and giving approval of project deviations or critical changes, when appropriate.
Ensuring full attention to Operational Excellence within the unit
Leading, developing and motivating direct and indirect reports within the Operating Unit.

You will be our face to customer for project execution and handle customer contacts and satisfaction.
Your background
You have an Engineering or Project Management master's degree (preferable but not essential)
You should have 10-15 years of experience in the project business, managing complex projects or large project business units.
Preferably, you have experience in dealing with tender pursuits, project delivery and supplier management on contracts with values ranging from $1MUSD to $50MUSD.
Experience from the power market is beneficial, as is knowledge of substations and power systems.
You should have commercial acumen with a broad understanding of theories, tools and practices in business improvement, project & change management, and you take a proactive approach to problem solving.
You have a strong focus on customer needs, results and quality, along with excellent leadership skills.
You have the ability to motivate others and get all parties committed toward common goals.
This is a networking role where your ability to successfully persuade and influence senior management teams to secure investments and business growth support will be necessary, as well as a strong ability to communicate and implement change through others.
As you will operate in an international work environment, you need to have excellent communication skills and fluency in both Swedish and English is required.
