As an Open Source Program Lead at Embark you'll be working with a team of passionate individuals, on a brand new state-of-the-art product written in Rust.
You will not only be a part of Embark's mission to democratize the development of games and other interactive experiences, you will also be part of deciding and developing the specific needs and features for our new platform which will evolve over time.
You will help lead the team on how to design and build our rendering pipeline within all relevant areas.
Example of responsibilities
• Be the coordinator of Embark's Open Source projects: those already available to the general public and the future ones
• Build and drive Open Source communities
• Serve as the main line of communication between Embark's internal teams and the community, provide collected feedback to the team, drive efforts related to meeting the community's needs
• Communicate with external Open Source contributors, maintain these relationships and help coordinate their work based on Embark's needs
• Help in finding new Open Source contributors, also for sponsorship!
• Help in shaping roadmaps of internally developed Open Source projects and in drive their release processes
We would love if you have
• More than 5 years of experience working with Open Source and in managing online communities
• Industry experience of working with software development
• Experience in working with a full development cycle of a product (from concept stage, through development and requirements gathering to go-live stage and delivery to the end customer)
• Experience with Rust programming language
• Drive and ability to coordinate your own work and time
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional English communication skills.
