Danscentrum Syd, in cooperation with Arbetsförmedlingen Kultur Media Syd, DanseHallerne and Dansalliansen, is arranging an open audition for professional dancers. Our aim is to involve the dance environment on both sides of Øresund.
We are going to create a platform where professional dancers active in contemporary, show and urban dance will get the opportunity to present themselves to choreographers, producers and directors.
Our intention is for participating employers and dancers to meet and get to know eachother on a more personal and honest level than most auditions offer.
The panel will consist of contemporary as well as show and urban producers.
The audition will be divided into two parts:
1. A workshop which contains classes in contemporary/repertoire, jazz/street and improvisation.
2. A solo/presentation, where each dancer will meet the jury for a short presentation and show a solo performance (max three minutes).
20 dancers will be able to participate.
When: February 7th, 2015.
