As our Office IT Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing Westpay's IT infrastructure. Your expertise will help us ensure efficient on/off-boarding processes, robust security measures, and the smooth operation of our office technology. You'll be the backbone that supports our company's technology needs, ensuring we stay ahead in today's fast-paced digital world.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Setup and Maintenance: Configure and deploy computers for new employees, set up telephones, and manage system additions/removals.
Security Management: Manage firewalls, antivirus software, and conduct penetration tests to safeguard data.
Technology Oversight: Maintain conference equipment and oversee network infrastructure to support every meeting and project seamlessly.
Data Protection: Manage backups for critical data and applications to ensure preparedness for any scenario.
Support: Provide indispensable support for applications, VPN, hardware issues, and more, keeping the team running smoothly.
Local Server Management: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of local servers to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Mixed Environment Proficiency: Work across a diverse technology landscape, proficiently managing and supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux machines, catering to the specific needs of each operating system within the organization.
Responsibility and Authority: Develop and update IT policies to ensure the integrity of the IT infrastructure and facilitate efficient operations. Have the authority to make pivotal decisions that affect the security and effectiveness of technology solutions.
What you bring to the table:To excel in this role, you'll need a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within our dynamic team. Here's what we're looking for:
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge in IT infrastructure management, including experience with firewalls, antivirus software, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity measures.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues swiftly, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining our operational efficiency.
Proactive Approach: Eagerness to take initiative in identifying potential improvements in our IT systems and processes, and the competence to implement these changes effectively.
Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, capable of working alongside diverse teams to achieve shared goals and improve overall IT security and functionality.
Security Mindfulness: A deep understanding of the importance of IT security and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data protection and cybersecurity.
Adaptability: Comfortable navigating the fast-paced and ever-changing landscape of technology, with a readiness to adapt to new challenges and learn on the go.
Personal:You have an academic degree in Technology and are fluent in Swedish and English
