In this recruitment the Tenure Facility is collaborating with Novare Potential.
Novare Potential is a recruitment and staffing organization with the aim of leading new arrivals into the Swedish job market. About the job
The Tenure Facility is a newly started organization focused on securing land and forest rights for Indigenous Peoples and local communities. The newly assembled team needs a self-driven and dedicated office coordinator to facilitate both office matters and project administration. One part of the job consists of different administrative duties and can be everything from ordering business cards and booking conference facilities to keeping track of invoices. Another part is organizing information and can consist of mail management and calendar bookings but also organizing information for the field work as reports and follow-ups. For the right person there are different opportunities for development.
Your profile
To succeed in this position, you need to be an organized person who can manage different projects at the same time. You also need to be self-driven, flexible and solution-oriented, as it is a new organization and there are no previous templates for how to get things done.
We see that you:
Have a humanitarian interest and want to be a part of creating better relations between indigenous peoples and local governments
Have a basic economic understanding (invoicing, simpler procurements etc.
Have an academic degree
Communicate well in verbal and written English
Ability to sometimes participate in conference calls at uncomfortable times due to time differences.
Preferably you also:
Have similar previous work experience (finance, administration, coordination)
Speak Swedish, French or Spanish.
About the organization
The International Land and Forest Tenure Facility is the first and only international, multi-stakeholder institution exclusively focused on securing land and forest rights for Indigenous Peoples and local communities. It provides grants to implement tenure rights under existing law and policy and shares the knowledge, innovations and tools that emerge. The Tenure Facility is dedicated to scaling up recognition of collective land and forest rights globally. This helps reduce conflict and further the achievement of global human rights, environment, and development goals. The Tenure Facility is an international foundation registered in Sweden.
