hela Sverige OD/VPS is a Group function within Global Truck Operations supporting the Volvo Group to meet business and customer needs through improved business performance by providing knowledge, methods and tools for a total operational excellence solution, combining Change Management and Lean.
We contribute with arenas for learning?s, we promote networking, collaboration and commonality for effective utilization of competence and resources.
We build capabilities to reach world class level in operational excellence.
We facilitate and coach leaders to implement a model which has continuous improvement and the Volvo Way as main pillars. We govern and asses the progress of this model in the Volvo Group.
To strengthen the OD/VPS (Operational Development) and (Volvo Production System).competence and complement our team we search for OD/VPS Senior Specialists with focus on Service.
You will report to the Regional Director OD/VPS Group function.
Mission
The role includes delivering implementations, trainings, assessments and supporting in the region and globally. You are also involved in supporting the different Volvo Companies in the transformation of their operations based on their maturity level and business challenges. As we work closely with the Volvo companies resources we share experiences, and ensure that the Volvo Group works in a coordinated direction with the further development of OD/VPS. The OD/VPS Group Function is also involved in projects in close cooperation within the Volvo Group, with academia and other external partners.
Main activities and responsibilities
• Contribute in the development of OD/VPS concept
• Contribute in the development, implementation and maintenance of the governance structure for OD/VPS, such as assessments, knowledge sharing and usage of best practice
• Contribute in the development and implementation of the - OD/VPS implementation approach, including training programs
• Lead multiple complex assignments and co-ordinate with others
• Develop long term relationships with stakeholder executives
• Build external stakeholder relations
• Lead external and internal knowledge sharing events
• Mentoring colleagues on lower levels
• Coaching stakeholders
• Actively participate in the OD/VPS Group Function team and in the OD/VPS governance structure
Critical competencies for the position
• Solid Lean experience (minimum 10 years) in development and implementation
• Demonstrated experience of leading cultural change in complex business environments
• Practice based competence from the administrative and business support processes
• Broad background from several businesses
• Proven leadership and coaching skills
• Holistic view and strategic thinking with drive for implementation and execution
• Delivery focus, process and result oriented, flexible
• Communicate efficiently internally and with stakeholders
• Ability to network in complex organizations and to gather the Volvo Companies
• International exposure
• Thorough knowledge about the Volvo Group operations
• Strong Networking in complex organization and international environment
• Excellent Customer focus
• As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
• Other languages like Swedish, French, Spanish, Japanese, German etc is a merit
You have the willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Location: flexible within the region for the geographical function
