- Plan activities in time to achieve minimum cost for obsolescence

Key Responsibilities and Challenges

- Collect and collate information relevant to obsolescence cases
- Define component, user and obligations, and collect relevant information
- Assess impact, cost and probability of obsolescence for reactive or proactive strategies and chose a strategy for each component
- Define options of corrective measures to recover from obsolescence, including budgetary needs
- Evaluate results after obsolescence occurred.

- Relevant engineering degree (e.g. Electronics, Electrical Engineering)
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant position (e.g. Hardware/Electronics Engineer, Field Application Engineer)
- General business understanding or interest in learning about long-term planning/strategy
- Persuasive communication skills, with the right attitude: structured, persistent, driven for results (multiple stakeholders to interact with)
