hela Sverige The Machine Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Nuclear Ventilation Engineer position in the Target Division.
Description of main responsibilities
Responsible for the HVAC system within the Target Building as a system owner with the task to follow-up the work performed by IK-partners and contractors engaged in the detailed design, installation and commissioning activities. The successful candidate shall possess the required technical skills to evaluate the solutions proposed, and, if needed, propose changes that ensures a better fulfillment of the requirements. The work also includes the necessary nuclear safety tasks (radiological hazard analyses and accident analyses) linked with the licensing process with the competent nuclear safety authority. The person shall also act as a reference for ESS for matters concerning the confinement (dynamic and static) of radioactive substances.
Qualifications
• M.Sc. as a minimum 5-10 years of experience as an HVAC engineer with at least 3-5 years within the field of ventilation of nuclear or similar facilities. Knowledge of ISO 17873:2004 is considered as a requirement. Past experience in international projects will be evaluated.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
