Infinera Metro Business Group (former Transmode Systems AB) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated NPI Project Manager to join our exciting, fast growing company. This experienced individual will provide expert level project management for introducing of all new Infinera Metro BG hardware products. Working in a highly collaborative environment with R&D and Strategic Sourcing, Test Development, Supply Chain and our suppliers, this individual will contribute to manage industrialization of new product at our contract manufacturer. This position reports to Director of NPI & Sustaining and is based at our headquarters in Årstadal, Stockholm, Sweden.
Responsibilities
• Building and managing a project group including resources from Operations and Customer Services
• Work with project team to plan and execute end to end product development project from requirements thru production ramp, this includes prototyping, pre-series and first serial manufacturing.
• Ensure on time delivery of projects by actively monitoring all key project metrics, taking action to resolve or escalate issues that impact lead-time, quality and cost.
• Identify and manage technical and operational project risks.
• Develop, monitor and control project budget.
• Prepare project reports and other documentations and present weekly project status.
• Manage project related issues in MPS and Product Data Management tools
• Running Project Experience Review
• Managing cross-functional teams.
• Delivering projects on time and on cost.
• Managing multiple and complex projects
REQUIREMENTS:
• Master degree in relevant engineering discipline
• 8+ year's progressive and proven experience in Project Management in the telecommunication industry.
• Proven track record of success in evolving New Products through the lifecycle.
• Passionate problem solver, undeterred by unique challenges
• Experience with Supply Chain as related to product development
• Experience in transitioning products into manufacturing.
• Good written and presentation skills - able to communicate effectively with engineers and senior managers.
• Ambitious and self-motivated with a desire to develop their role further.
• Willing to consider international and national travels when necessary to interact with regional teams in Sunnyvale and EMS partners
• Abilities in Lean Manufacturing, Design for Manufacturing, statistics, electronics, optics and mechanics
• Familiar with manufacturing processes and able to define manufacturing flows for new products
• Experience dealing with Suppliers and their operations and understanding of production metrics, capacity planning and troubleshooting associated issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Very good knowledge in speaking and writing Swedish and English
