The role and responsibilities
As NPI Engineer at Tobii your focus will be on test development and driving continuous product quality improvements of our test systems through the product lifecycle to achieve higher availability test repeatability, test data analysis, product yield improvement and efficiency.
You will play an important part of trouble shoot errors in production, conducting root cause analysis together with engineering, production, and other team members and streamline process steps and develop and implement manufacturing test strategies.
You will act as the primary technical interface towards between production and engineering department by discussing test specification and implementing the test at production line . and provide relevant quality data from different projects and manufacturing teams and much more!
Your days will be filled with
Participating in new product development as production test representative
Defining test implementation plans, test limits and reports
Aligning test planning towards product requirements ensuring full test coverage
Performing testing in order to verify design changes for products set in production
Sustaining engineering of production test systems that are located in Sweden or at partner locations in Asia.
Continuous improvement of the test systems to achieve higher availability, production yield and efficiency.
Communicate technical status and escalate technical gaps to management
We are looking for someone who has
A MSc degree in electronics, physics, computer science or equivalent
5 + years of work experience from a production test environnent
Solid skills in technical writing as well as data analysis skills, including working with unstructured data and different databases
Practical programming experience in relevant language (Python etc)
Experience with failure mode tests
Experience with Linux or other Unix-like environments
Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing
It is a plus if you have modular test setup experience
