The Nordic offices have 15 Employees, and are a Sales and Marketing division for the Nordics market with a specialist finance team that supports the operation for this marketplace.
Job Description:
Complete processes and controls for all three entities in Nordics to ensure that all internal (month and year end) and external transactional and reporting requirements are met as per legal requirement and within pre-set deadlines.
This role is responsible for the daily accounting of the Swedish legal entity and has a shared responsibility for the Norwegian Swedish legal entity.
Transactional:
• Responsible for Accounts Payable (coding invoices, register invoices in JDE, prepare and perform payments)
• Responsible for Accounts Receivable (register incoming payment, clearing of AR)
• Complete the month end process to trial balance stage, ensuring that closure has been managed effectively and that all key account reconciliations (refer below) are complete.
• Complete and Review Account Reconciliations
Intercompany:
• Transactional Foreign Currency
• Other Receivables (incl. Excises, VAT)
• Prepayments & Accruals
• Fixed Assets
• Bank reconciliation
• Prepare the month end balance day file, ensuring that all necessary supporting documentation has been prepared and filed in readiness for BS review with Financial Accounting Manager and EMEA Financial Controller
Internal: .
• Control, Disclosure & Compliance (TWE Group)
• FX reconciliations for Treasury
• Cashflow forecast for Treasury
• Other head office requirements
• Act as key resource to drive improvements to internal controls, ensuring that at all times we ensure the appropriate level of control
External reporting:
• Ensure correct reporting and payment of excises, VAT and other taxes to tax authorities within deadlines
Other:
• Monitor Sales files from Trebuchet for correct upload to JDE
• Support the organization in accounting-related matters
• Support budget process
• Support the preparation of Statutory accounts
• Ad hoc analyses
Qualifications and Experience:
Skills:
• Degree
• Excellent proficiency in Excel and proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint
• Strong systems knowledge, notably, understanding of, or ability to learn JDE (accounting package), OLAP (excel based reporting tool) and other data warehouses.
• Norwegian is a plus
Experience:
• Several years experience in similar role an advantage, exposure to Hyperion Financial Management and month end procedures a distinct advantage
• Ability to work across finance and non-finance departments
• Independent, flexible thinker
• Ability to maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a positive manner with co-workers and management.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced team environment and motivate teams and individuals interdepartmentally.
• Ability to effectively multi-task projects.
This is a temporary position (12 month min contract)
