Vossloh Nordic Switch Systems AB, part of the Vossloh Cogifer Group, develops and delivers material and machines for railway track systems. In Sweden we are established in both Ystad and Örebro and manufacture turnouts and crossings for
all applications. We are also one of Northern Europe biggest trading partners for track material. Our Head Office is in Ystad and the yearly turnover is round 600 mSK and we employ approximately 150 people.
We searching for:
Nordic Sourcing Manager and Key Commodity Purchaser
in the Vossloh Cogifer Group
Vossloh Nordic in Ystad is looking for a Sourcing Manager responsible for the development of the existing
supplier base including identification and start up of new suppliers. This position is responsible for the
negotiation of contracts, with general conditions and requirements, but also taking into account the quality,
lead times, capability to improve the costs and working capital. There is a strong focus on lean supply chain
where optimization of material flow, cost reduction and procurement performance are keys.
Duties and responsibilities
• Develop and implement the sourcing strategy
• Identify supplier base opportunities for cost and/
or quality improvements together with engineering
and development team
• Support the development of the Nordic purchase
department
• Conduct supplier assessment and tracking of
supplier performance
• Support VNSS internal continous improvement
program
• Support R&D
• Member of the Management team
In this position you will also work in the team of Vossloh Cogifer Global Sourcing Management representing
the Nordic units. In the Vossloh Cogifer Global Sourcing team you will get a Key Commodity Purchaser role
where you will:
• identify new sourcing opportunities together
with purchasing and technical departments of
VC companies, taking into account the different
constraints (specifications, standard rules,
approval process etc)
• negotiate and agree frame contracts with
suppliers
• support the future vision of global Vossloh Cogifer
commodity / product family structure.
Job-split of buyers (per commodities)
Decide supplier base per commodity
Define correct level of technical specifications /
requirements of our components/material for
sourcing
• report for the commodity/product family

• provide purchase / supplier data and consolidated
reports for all Nordic units
Skills
Strong communication and writing in both Swedish
and English
Experience from international supplier development
environment
Price and contract negotiation
Steel and mechanic background
Experience of working in Lean environment
Management skills
