Working at Motatos, you will join our fight against food waste and have the ability to contribute to making the world a better place.

We are now looking for an additional Financial controller to oversee day-to-day finance operations in both the Nordics and future markets. You will work closely with all parts of the organization and with our outsourced accounting partners.

What you'll do
You will make sure our financial numbers and processes are in order, our internal controls are adequately designed, implemented and followed up, and ensure full integration and transparency between local and group accounting. You will:

• As a part of our central Finance team you will focus on developing our financial and accounting processes in the Nordics

• Support and challenge our finance operations (partially outsourced to an external accounting partner)

• Support audits (internal and external), coordinate and prepare financial reviews

• Participate in financial group initiatives and projects as well as actively challenge our existing finance operations

• Be jointly responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations, as well as with group accounting and reporting policies and guidelines

• Be jointly responsible for the monthly financial planning activities (including the budget and forecast), including financial reporting and analysis

• Implement, regularly evaluate and follow up on internal control and compliance framework

• Evaluate and improve the existing set-up between the central finance team, local country organization & outsourced accounting firms.

• Actively participate in implementation of new finance related systems and other systems related projects.

• Perform financial system maintenance activities (i.e. check of system parameters, accounts mapping etc.)

Our humble expectations - we see that you have experience in the following areas
• Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting

• 4+ years of experience within accounting, auditing or financial controlling, preferably from fast-growing companies

• Strong analytical skills

• Thorough understanding of Swedish GAAP and IFRS (Finnish and Danish GAAP is a merit)

• Motivated and eager to develop

• Special attention for details and effective process flows, whilst keeping the bigger picture in mind

• Previous experience working with inventory accounting and reconciliation

• Excellent Excel skills, comfortable working with large data sets

• Relevant academic degree in accounting or economics

• Good communication and writing skills in both English and Swedish

If you on top of this have experience from working with foreign subsidiaries as well as experience from working with external and foreign accounting firms and have worked as a superuser in an ERP system we would love to talk to you!
