Purpose of the role
As a Nordic Finance Manager you will be responsible for the overall Accounting for the Nordic countries. You will play a key role in the central Finance team as your responsibility is to ensure that the accounting processes run according to the accounting instructions in the group. The role involves monitoring financial transactions, keeping the general ledger updated and making sure that accounting is compliant with current national and international accounting standards, rules and regulations. The main goal includes compiling and delivering timely and reliable financial data for internal and external financial reporting purposes. The position is located in Hultafors, has six direct reports and reports to Director Group Accounting.
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for the oversight of the finance/accounting activities of the region comprised of the parent company, 4 selling companies and 1 production company, including accounting policies, coordination of systems and procedures, and the preparation of financial statements
• As responsible for the overall accounting of Hultafors Group AB (parent company) you will have a lot of internal contacts in Sweden as well as international.
• Develop and implement robust processes and workflows to secure we have an efficient and predictable way of working
• Manage the accounting team to support submission of accurate financial statements that are in compliance with IFRS
• Maintenance and development of the monthly-, quarterly and annual reporting templates
• Ensure financial compliance in the integration of new and redeveloped products, processes and entities by setting documentation and establish a framework for key controls
• Ensure correct VAT & income tax reporting
• Ensure that the monthly closing documentation is complete and performed in the way set out by the group
• Work closely with functional and country managers in conducting detailed financial and business analyses to identify potential problems, determine root causes and recommend appropriate solutions
Your profile
• BA Degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA Degree and/or CPA are preferred
• Proven leadership skills and ability to effectively coordinate across departments
• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting
• Experience in a similar role is an advantage
• Background from a major audit firm is preferred
• Knowledge of reporting systems and ability to create reports and presentations for senior leadership is essential
• Analytical skills including the ability to perform and train others in variance analysis
• Background and a strong interest to run digitalization, processes and automation projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and cross culturally
• Strong problem-solving skills demonstrating the ability to take on new projects
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Swedish
• Advanced user in Microsoft Excel
• Advanced user in ERP-tool and reporting systems
