McDonald's in the Nordics is now looking for Nordic Category Coordinators , who with a commercial mindset and by challenging status quo will support the Sourcing & Category department, a commercial function within McDonald's in the Nordics.
The Role:
As the new Nordic Category Coordinator, you will support a selection of categories across the Nordic markets with the opportunity for responsibility of your own categories. You are expected to coordinate different tasks and projects within your categories, by working proactively and using a fact-based decision-making process.
You will report directly to the Nordic Sourcing and Category Lead and will cooperate closely with both internal and external stakeholders through all levels in the organization.
The position will be based in one of our Nordic offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen or Helsinki.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the management & development of assigned categories
Assist Lead in running cross category analyses of spend and SKUs
Day-to-day management of the product categories and activities
Support sourcing on local & Nordic level
Support Supplier Relationship Management
Ensure supply & performance
Pricing and documentation
Relationship building through meetings, emails & supplier visits
Coordinate Category Management projects
Monitor and follow-up on assigned projects
Optimize category across the four markets to ensure efficient supply and cost savings
Your experience & qualifications:
To excel in the role, we see the ideal candidate as commercially driven, ambitious and possessing a can-do mindset. You are structured, have sound analytical skills and are able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Previous experience with sourcing and category work across the Nordics or European region is an advantage.
In addition to this, you have the following qualifications:
MSc, BSc or other relevant education in Economics, Marketing, Sourcing or Supply Chain
0-2 years of experience with procurement or Key Account Management from FMCG/retail, preferable experience from either meat, dairy, or fruit & vegetable categories
Advanced Excel skills
Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language
Ability to travel when required
