The RAN Compute HW unit is responsible for design and maintenance of Baseband and Street Macro products in Ericsson Radio Base Station Portfolio. We support existing and coming generation of digital platforms enabling high capacity and performance to our end customers. Our design is based on the latest silicon technology with multi-layer PCBs and high-speed series links. To be competitive, we want to be at the forefront of technological development by optimizing our products according to; performance, low maintenance costs and fault-free systems. We are looking for a designer with willingness to develop and take on new challenges working with 5G and 6G. If you come to us, you will get phenomenal support of our large diverse team with all from newly graduated to senior experts.
What you will do
HW Digital design and implementation including reviews
Understand system level requirement and use cases. Interpret, break down and implement them
Work with cost optimization
Deliver design with high quality within agreed time frame and manufacturing cost target
Be author of required design and verification documents
Work with Board Bring Up and functional integration in cooperation with people from other functional teams: (SW, FPGA, ASIC, Production Test Development, etc.) to complete these tasks
Support customer and production sites in case of low yield issues
Do schematic designs using Cadence Concept tool
Verify products in the lab using sophisticated instruments
Desirable competences
M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Some understanding of Digital HW based on: ASICs, FPGAs, Network Processors, PCBs, high speed series links, the latest technology of memories and timing solutions
Basic knowledge of design, integration & verification and scripting languages such as Python, TCL etc.
Good communication skills and social ability
Creative and innovative
Delivering Results & Meeting Customer Expectations
Organized and structured
