Job description
The Radio Network Controller (RNC) Node Design Center is responsible for SW Development within WCDMA RNC, and has 10 open positions for newly-graduated software designers.
WCDMA RNC is a node in the WCDMA Radio Access Network, WCDMA is the leading 3G technology and Ericsson is the world leader in WCDMA systems, the key enabler for mobile broadband.
As a software designer at RNC you will work with modeling in UML, software implementation in C/C++ or Java and basic testing in simulated environments. Our work is, in some areas, done by agile SW development methods. You will be part of an international team cooperating with Ericsson in China and our partners Ericpol in Poland.
The responsibility includes development of the RNC's software. This also includes implementation, integration, verification and maintenance of released products.
As a Software Designer at one of the design units, your principal task will be implementation of new functionality.
Qualifications:
Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent formal education with experience in software programming
Competences:
Good communication skills, fluent in English.
Knowledge of OOAD software design
Knowledge within RSARTE, C, C++, Java, UNIX and script languages is an advantage.
Completed concurrent process or server courses to understand how a real-time system works or gotten relevant competence.
Passion for telecom technology.
Specialization of telecommunication (thesis in practical telecommunication, software production, IT) is an advantage.
High flexibility and good ability to cooperate in teams in a multicultural environment
Strong will and ability to work with a task from idea to a working solution is a benefit
