The increasing complexity of today's and future networks require flexible and well-integrated microwave nodes for mobile backhaul. Building an efficient operator grade microwave backhaul network with end-to-end performance in mind, requires high capacity and features that respond to demanding customer needs.
As part of the Ericsson Radio system MINI-LINK is a powerful network node fulfilling the requirements of the mobile broadband evolution, including 5G.
You will be part of a high performing organization that works with agile methodology in cross functional teams. Our teams drive the evolution of the Mobile Backhaul products from analysis, design and verification including deployment and release in customer networks.

Position Summary
As an ASIC/FPGA engineer you will develop and maintain Ericsson's world leading microwave mobile backhaul products. You will be a valued team member and get the opportunity to drive activities such as requirement analysis, design, simulation, integration, verification. To enable your fast growth in the area, you will work together with very skilled and experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Typical responsibilities and common tasks for a FPGA team member
• Develop and test FPGAs for future high speed telecom products
• Work closely with other teams, both at Lindholmen and other international sites
• Integration of FPGAs with our in-house developed PCBs, software, and mechanics
• Drive continuous improvements
• Perform trouble shooting and customer support
• Verification in both simulation and in our well-equipped labs
Position Qualifications
Core competences for a FPGA team member
• Passionate about RTL design and verification
• Hardware description language knowledge (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
• Work in Linux environment
• Scripting skills
• A true team player that enjoys working in teams
• Fast learner that easily adapt and respond to change
• Lean and Agile understanding
• Innovative mindset and focus on delivering high quality results
Preferable competences
• Ethernet knowledge
• General protocol knowledge (e.g. AXI, OPB, Wishbone)
• C / C++
• UVM
• Java
Minimum qualifications for the position
• Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• English Skills
