The Digital Platform Unit is one of several units, responsible for development of new radio hardware, a part of Ericsson's 2G to 4G base stations and beyond. The unit responsibility is designing signal processing solutions as well as embedded processing for Digital Radio applications, such as;
• Digital Signal processing implementations in FPGAs for the RF transmitter and receiver parts in radio base station units including linearization and digital efficiency enhancement solutions for RF amplifiers
• FPGA implementations for Digital Radio front end (e.g. peak power reduction, channel filtering)
The Digital Platform Unit handles all the areas from research, pre-development to product development. We are now looking for new colleagues to strengthen our team. As a member of our FPGA design group you will take part in designing signal processing solutions as well as embedded processing for Digital Radio applications. You will work together with digital signal processing experts as well as highly skilled FPGA designers.
You have a Masters Degree or doctorate level in electrical engineering or in engineering physics. A graduated thesis within the area of signal processing implemented in FPGA is preferred.
You have competence within the field of signal processing, telecommunication and radio technology.
You have knowledge of generic radio building blocks and have experience in using computer aided design tools.
Skills considered as a merit are;
• Knowledge of RTL code design using VHDL or Verilog hardware descriptive language.
• Knowledge of synthesis (e.g. symplify) and place&route (e.g. ISE/Quartus…)
• Familiar with version control tools
• Programming skills (Matlab, SystemVerilog/SystemC, Tcl, C/C++…).
You are result-oriented and have excellent communication and social skills.
You are fluent in English.
