September 1st, 2023, Ingka Group adds 9 new VAPS markets, under the new 4 years VAPS format.
VAPS - 4 years is a VAPS model for more market managers. It can be the second or third market manager job they have. The time period is shorter, and the money involved is less. The purpose is to drive sales and profit in the shorter term and to strengthen the entrepreneurial mindset in market managers.

With VAPS, we develop existing ways of working, create and utilize business opportunities. All with the purpose of a better customer meeting and an improved IKEA retail business. VAPS follows the total market approach and includes responsibility for all customer meeting points, digital and physical, and the new ways of working with one Profit & Loss and a penetration plan for the market.
VAPS gives the VAPS Market Manager increased responsibility and freedom to operate the Market within a clear agreed framework and to profit financially from maximising the potential
We are looking for market managers that want to develop their entrepreneurship further, with the right competence and have energy to lead the business and people agenda. Full details to be found in the competence profile.
With this recruitment we want to get closer to a gender balance among existing and new VAPS Managers.
What you'll need to have

The prerequisites for applying are:
• You recognise yourself in the Market Manager profile as a base
• That you are experienced with the operation of a store, market.
• We want you to have solid and balanced IKEA Market Manager Experience (more than one market).
• Your personal deposit EUR20,000 to EUR30,000 into your future market.
• A 4-year commitment.
• You can not apply for your current own store as VAPS Market Manager
What you need to know
Steps to take:
1. For any additional information, please contact your Country P&C manager.
2. Discuss your application, prior to applying, with your organisation's senior (line) manager e.g., your Area Manager, or Country Retail Manager. If you are belonging to an IKEA organisation other than Retail, your most senior line manager in your organisation should be contacted.
3.Apply online between February 1st and February 28th, 2023.
4.Interviews are scheduled for week 10 and onwards.
5.The recruitment process is country lead. Each Country will publish one job posting.
Your application via the Recruitment system should comprise:
1.A short resume of your career history (CV) incl. references
2. A motivation letter explaining why you should be considered for a VAPS Area or market. Including examples of when you have successfully proven
• true entrepreneurship and leadership
• applying an OMNI channel approach to the market
3. Your Leadership profile for the last three years
4. PI -personally form (ask your local HR team to assist you)
