Excited to be part of something new? We are looking for a New Business Incubation Lead to join our Strategy & Innovation team in AFRY X!
AFRY is creating a new unit, AFRY X, to excel in our digital offerings to our clients. In AFRY X we accelerate digital solutions, incubate new ideas and business models and host shared data driven platforms. We will manage the lifecycle of digital solutions, including development, maintenance, and operation.
Your responsibility as New Business Incubation Lead is to define and innovate new business ideas in line with AFRY X overall strategy as well as in defined strategic areas within our transforming sectors. You will work close to AFRY X management and with our business divisions to ensure alignment.
This is the job
Lead the development of new ideas for digital data driven innovations in strategic areas with the purpose on creating a portfolio
Overall planning of the activities within the strategic area
Lead idea generation (e.g. workshops, events), formulation of new digital business opportunities, business development
Work close with our Lead digital Ideator to ensure design thinking and rapid prototyping
Work close to our Partner Manager to build an ecosystem with external partners and start-ups
Drive the overall marketing narrative in the strategic area and recommend adjustments
Define needs for intensified M&A activity
Who are you?
We are searching for an individual that excels within new business incubation and innovation, someone with experience in driving a strategic business development of an area preferably in digital. To be successful in this role we think that you have excellent communication- and teamwork skills, that you have a strong business mindset and customer focus and that you thrive in a coworker- and possibility-oriented environment.
We value your personality and mindset, as well as previous work experience, a relevant University degree is considered a merit. We also consider experience from one or more of our core transforming segments (infrastructure, food and life science, bioindustry, clean energy) to be a strong merit.
Formal Requirements
Experience in new business incubation and innovation
Experience in forming new business opportunities
Expertise in how digital solutions create value in our core transforming segments (infrastructure, food & life science, bioindustry, clean energy)
Good understanding of digital business models and the role AFRY can play in the ecosystem
Fluent in verbal and written English, Swedish is a merit
Experience from any of our core transforming segments is considered to be a merit.
And of course, we believe that you have a strong interest in digitalisation and an innovative mindset!
