Reports to: Head of Operations, Kalmar
Location: Stockholm or Kalmar, Sweden
CLX Communications (CLX) is a leading global provider of cloud-based communication services and solutions to enterprises and mobile operators. CLX's mobile communication services enable companies to quickly, securely, and cost-effectively communicate globally with customers and connected devices. CLX's solutions enable business-critical communications worldwide via mobile messaging services, voice services, and mobile connectivity services for the IoT. CLX has grown profitably since the company was founded. With headquartered in Stockholm Sweden, we have 30+ offices in over 20 countries. Preferably this position will be based at our office in central Stockholm, (but it is possibile to be located in Kalmar).
The role
As a Network Engineer you will be a part of our operations team working with expanding, planning and implementing networking infrastructures. The team is responsible for our business-critical production systems and therefore we require a high focus on implementation and precision. Basic skills in programming is a must, as we utilize a configuration management system which requires this. We think you have a drive and passionate interest for network engineering and hands on operations work. Proficient communications skills in written and spoken English are requirements as we work with colleagues, partners and customers on global basis.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• You will be responsible for independently taking on tasks, configuring and working with the systems within our production environment
• Plan and implement new initiatives, as well as existing parts, of our global network infrastructure
• Document network solutions
• Installation and upgrades of networking related software and hardware
• Complex problem solving together with other members of the operations, support and engineering teams
We are looking for someone with a university degree (BS/MS or equivalent) within Computer Science, and at least 3-5 years experience in hands on networking.
Skills and experience of:
• Design of network
• Routing and switching
• Equipment from Cisco and F5
• BGP, QoS, OSPF and VRRP/HSRP.
• SDN within AWS
• IPsec VPNs
It's a bonus if you have:
• Skills in Linux and IT systems management
• Experience from using network monitoring tools
• Basic knowledge in Swedish
