Itiviti is seeking a talented and driven NetworkEngineer to expand and strengthen its Managed Services team. Based in the Itiviti Stockholm office, you will report to VP of Managed Trading Platform who is located in the Itiviti Headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden.
As part of the Managed Services networking group, you will be jointly responsible for providing a high standard of network related support and expertise during Stockholm business hours. The Itiviti client demands a stable and reliable environment for their financial trading. System stability is key, so you will be expected to be structured in your approach and to adhere to current change management procedures. You will also be expected to demonstrate a combination of proactive, analytical and reactive skills, to not only to maintain stability and uptime, but to help maximizing the performance potential of the network.
The Itiviti managed infrastructure is geographically distributed throughout multiple data centers. You will be required to work closely with other teams in the organization, as well as manage vendor relationships, lead the data center network design and build-out, onboarding client networks and assist other teams during exchange upgrades. The position also requires occasional travels.
Successful applicants will have a minimum of three years' hands-on experience as a NetworkEngineer or similar role and will be able to exhibit skills and demonstrate knowledge in the following areas:
DEEP UNDERSTANDING AND WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:
The full OSI model, L2 and L3 are of essence but up to L7 will be needed.
Dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
Network security including IPSEC and SSL.
Link aggregation and redundant network deployments.
Data center multi-site networking.
Multicast deployments.
Switch, Router and Firewall debugging.
SOLID UNDERSTANDING AND WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:
Cisco and/or Arista routers and switches.
Patching and upgrading network operating systems.
Networking in data centers.
High-bandwidth, low latency networking topologies.
Network segregation including VLAN, ACLs and VRFs.
Network monitoring and backup.
BASIC (AT LEAST) UNDERSTANDING AND WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:
Server operating systems, especially Linux.
Server hardware components.
Network load balancing.
High-availability applications.
APPLICANTS WILL BE AT AN ADVANTAGE IF THEY ALSO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
Checkpoint firewall knowledge and experience
Experience in the capital markets industry.
Proven track record of working with multiple vendors and service providers
Experience in a managed services role.
Cisco certification such as CCNP.
University degree in computer science or a relevant discipline
