The Network and Security Operations Center (NSOC) is a fusion of a Network Operations Center (NOC) and a Security Operations Center (SOC). The NOC is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the overall network infrastructure, and its primary function is to ensure uninterrupted network service. The SOC is responsible for protecting networks, as well as web sites, applications, databases, servers and data centers, and other technologies. Likewise, the SOC and the physical security operations center coordinate and work together. The physical SOC is a facility in large organizations where security staff monitor and control security officers/guards, alarms, CCTV, physical access, etc.
As a Network and Security Operations Center Engineer at Outpost24 you will be placed at the office in Karlskrona and will work in a team that is responsible for the management of the company's network and architecture. The work focuses a lot on monitoring, i.e focusing on events and and incident response. The job also requires a lot of operational work, like operational security administration such as identity & access management, key management, firewall administration, and setting up new systems.
You will work closely with the Outpost24 developers to supply them with systems and platforms that they need in order to further perfect the Outpost24 products, and also make sure that the company's data and environment is secure.
The job includes being on-call, and you will be placed on a on-call schedule and will be on-call for one week at a time where you need to be available to respond to any eventual incidents.
Requirements
Either a diploma in a relevant field, or a couple of years work experience with system administration.
Must be able to occasionally carry and lift heavy servers (20-25 kg) and feel at home in a data center.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English and preferably also in Swedish.
Basic knowledge of:
• Ansible
• PF
• Unix/Linux. OpenBSD and CentOS is a plus
• TCP/IP
• LAN/WAN infrastructures
• Common OS services
• Routers/switches. JunOS is a plus
Beneficial:
Certifications
Prior experience in a SOC, NOC, or System administration
Experience with:
• Red Hat Virtualization (oVirt)
• Red Hat OpenStack Platform (TripleO)
• Red Hat CloudForms (ManageIQ)
• Red Hat OpenShift (OpenShift Origin)
• Red Hat Ansible Tower (AWX)
• Elastic product suite
• Atlassian JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence
