The Descartes Systems Group is building a next generation of the Global Logistics Network (GLN) applications based on the Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework. The GLN applications provide business information services in the Software-as-a-service model. We need to expand our team with a software developer to participate in the design and implementation of our next generation Air Cargo Community System and Cargo2000 solutions.
We are looking for a .Net software developer with:
A results-driven focus,
A passion for developing consistent, attractive, usable, scalable, and maintainable web based .Net applications.
Strong problem solving skills and critical thinking ability,
The ability to work under a tight project schedule,
A total-service attitude to the assigned tasks and responsibilities, and
Excellent communications skills.
Required Assets:
University degree in Computer Science or related discipline
2+ years experience developing maintainable web sites and applications utilizing the Microsoft .Net Framework (ASP.NET and C#)
Practical experience with XML, CSS, and Javascript.
Excellent web UI design skills
Relational database experience (MS SQL Server)
Preferred Assets:
Experience with Windows 2003 and IIS6 ASP.NET deployments
Experience of object oriented design principles
Experience designing and implementing J2EE/JAVA applications

This position will be based out of our Stockholm office.
