At IKEA of Sweden (IOS), in Älmhult, we create the global product range and steer our global purchasing based on our business idea to offer a wide range of well designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them. The Supply chain teams in our Business areas are looking for people with a problem solving approach, a desire to always improve established working methods and a wish to be part of a fast-growing business.
As a Need Planner you will be globally responsible for balancing the customer need against supplier capacities. You plan the goods flow in the product change process (both phasing in and out of products), communicate and handover this plan to Purchasing and Supply Teams for execution. The Need planner leads initiatives together with IKEA's Regional Supply Teams in order to identify potential overstock and out of stock situations and to act on deviations outside the lead-time. In your assignment you will have the opportunity to work on a global scene, through and with supply colleagues around the world to achieve common goals!
