Position Description
An ICT Engineer plans, delivers and operates infrastructure services and solutions for Ericsson internal users. The ICT Engineer secures a stable environment and optimizes the solutions/services to the agreed service levels in a cost efficient and timely manner.
Our customer within their Test Environment organization is looking for an ICT Engineer to develop test environment solutions and services for theri product development, customer demos and trials. The test environments are built on standardized network and IT infrastructure solutions that we customize. On this infrastructure we integrate 3G/4G/5G telecom applications as well as test and IT applications e.g. IXIA, Wireshark.
The daily work includes analysis and implementation of customer requirements, building as well as changing application/network configurations, and using system monitoring/troubleshooting tools to give best-in-class support to our users. Specifically, automation of IT services is a focus area for this position as Ericsson Data Centers are becoming the epicenter of our Service Deliveries. The work is performed in teams working in agile influenced processes - cross both organizational and geographical borders. Finally, you will be expected to engage in how we constantly can improve our services in terms of efficiency, quality and technology.
Qualifications
You have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Information Technology or Computer Systems.
You have at least 3-4 years relevant work experience from SW development or IT Infrastructure Service delivery.
You are experienced in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting virtualization platforms such as VMware or OpenStack, preferably in combination with IT environment automation by e.g. Puppet or Ansible.
It is good to have a good Network knowledge.
The platform is mostly Linux based.
You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge
You enjoy working in teams, with people from various disciplines and you can communicate with others in English.
