We are now looking for a live-in Nanny to join a family with two kids to work fulltime from August. The dad is Swedish but speaks English and the mum is from south Africa and speaks English, Ndebele and Shona. The nanny MUST speak either Ndebele or Shona and English. The mum wants the kids to learn either Ndebele or Shona and therefor it's important that the nanny is fluent in either of those two languages and able to communicate with and teach the kids either Ndebele or Shona.
The family lives in Stockholm, Upplands Bro but the mum will be working in London most weeks from August, the dad is working in Stockholm. The nanny will be based and working in Stockholm only. Normal hours are 08.00 until 18.00 and once the dad is home the nanny will be off. The nanny will need to be covering some nights when the dad is away on business trips a couple of times a month. The nanny will be off most weekends though the family only occasionally needs help on the weekend. Overtime will be compensated. The nanny will also get some time off during the weekdays when the mum is in Stockholm. The family has two kids, one girl who is 3,5 years old and one baby girl who will be 8 months at the start of the position in August. Both girls normally sleep through the night. The older girl will be in daycare probably three days a week, but the family have not fully decided on how many days a week she will be attending Förskola (daycare).
The family is looking for a really reliable nanny that will be able to fully take on the role of a full-time nanny since the mum will be in London most weeks. The nanny also need to be organized and flexible and totally ok with helping out where needed. Changing diapers, doing the kids laundry, light housekeeping like hovering and keeping the kitchen clean. Cooking for the kids will be needed however the family likes to cook by themselves when they can and will from time to time leave food for the nanny to just heat up. They are looking for a nanny who really enjoys being with kids and will help the kids develop through fun games and activities. The nanny needs to have lots of previous experience of taking care of kids and especially babies as the youngest will be 8 months old at the start. The family wants the nanny to be very honest and a good communicator who is happy to follow instructions. The family is catholic and the nanny needs to be comfortable with keeping the routine of the kids praying before dinner etc.
The nanny will be provided accommodation within the family's home. The nanny will have an own room and there is two bathrooms in the house which will be shared.
